Eve and Jake run an antique shop. When Eve is offered a new job in Albany, she wants to take it but her heart is telling her to tell Jake how he feels and see what he says. She leaves for her new job and both are miserable. When New Year’s Eve rolls around, they finally see each other and from that point on, there is no stopping them. Excellent writing as always with this author.

The love story of Eve and Jake is interesting, attention grabbing, a study in impatience and frustration and the joy of finding true love. Jake's blindness to what was staring him in the face plus Eve's tendency to second guess and to hold grudges provided the stumbling blocks to their heart's desire.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching them wake up to the truth of their feelings for each other and to find the courage to risk all and speak aloud their love. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The story of Eve and Jake is breathtaking. You will not only be wanting to laugh but you will definitely feel their pain. The details are written well and will leave nothing to the imagination. It is a very fast paced and easy read that will play through your head like a movie. This series will keep you interested and highly entertained. Each book is placed around a holiday. The title goes along with each holiday. This book Eve's New Year goes with New Years Eve. Each book can be a stand alone and will not need to be read in order. I was given an ARC for my honest review.

In this six installment of the Holidays in Lake Point we meet Eve and Jake. They were friends and neighbors when they where kids. Now that they have grown up and carried on with there life can these two get with it. They both have feelings for one another but can't seem to share them with the other one. Will something come up in Eve's life that will make her move on without telling Jake? Will Jake let love slip through his fingers? This couple was so hard headed at times you just really felt the frustration and wanted to yell at the book you two are blind as bats.
